Electricoacupuncture

Electroacupuncture, or e-stim, is the use of electric pulses with acupuncture. Small alligator clips are placed onto specific acupuncture needles which are already inserted into the body. These clips are connected to an e-stim device which generate electrical impulses through the wire and into the metal of the needle. The pulsing is conducted through the needle into the body. The intensity of the stimulus can be controlled. Electroacupuncture helps to invigorate the body, break-up muscle adhesions, and relax the muscle. Treatment is generally 20 minutes long.
